Memorizing 46 emoji codes is overkill for most users. The reality of TikTok commenting is that you need a small handful of codes that match how you actually react to videos: the ones for "this is funny," "this is sad," "this is impressive," and so on.

"This is funny" — Laughter Stack

This is the cluster you will use most. TikTok comments skew toward humor, and these are the codes for "this landed."

- **`[cry]`** — The single most-used TikTok emoji. Means "this is so funny I am crying." The default reaction to genuinely great comedy. - **`[lmao]`** — "This is funny." For skill showcases, perfect execution, glow-ups, or content that just made you go "how did they do that."

- **`[wow]`** — "This is impressive." The default hype reaction. Reserved for genuinely surprising or impressive content. - **`[cool]`** — Quiet confidence. "That's just cool" without going overboard. The lower-key sibling of `[wow]`. - **`[astonish]`** — "I cannot believe this." For dating content, couple content, beauty content, or anything where you want to signal genuine admiration.

- **`[loveface]`** — Heart-eyes. The most-used love emoji on TikTok. Direct and unmistakable. - **`[lovely]`** — A kiss. Warmer than `[loveface]`, used for stronger affection. - **`[cute]`** — Admiration without the full romantic weight.
