Cross-Platform Triggers
Triggers from Discord, Twitter, iMessage — and how they map to TikTok.
Filter by platform
:ablob:Discord :ablob:
A neon-pink blob with a face on it. Discord emoji that became a near-universal "I am reacting at high intensity" signifier across servers. Spilled into TikTok comments as a screenshot-of-Discord pattern.
:KEKW:Discord :KEKW:
A laughing face from a 2000s-era Spanish comedy show, redeployed across Twitch chat and Discord as the canonical "haha, no way" reaction. Spawned hundreds of variants (:KEKWait:, :KEKGE:, etc.).
:pepehappy:Discord :pepehappy:
A smiling Pepe the Frog variant — one of dozens of canonical Pepe emotions that Discord servers ship as custom emoji. Used as a soft-positive reaction.
:thonking:Discord :thonking:
The thinking emoji stretched into an absurd pose. The "th" prefix is a Discord convention that means "this is the absurd version." Reads as "I am sarcastically pondering this" — different from [thinking]'s straight "let me think about it."
PogTwitter "Pog" / PogChamp
PogChamp (and its text-only Twitter variant "Pog") is a Twitch emote from a 2010 face-cam shot of streamer "gootecks" reacting in disbelief. Became Twitter's default "wow, this rules" reaction.
SliderInstagram Emoji Slider
Instagram's poll-on-a-slider feature attached to stories. You tap the slider and pick a value (0–100) before submitting. The selected emoji becomes the visible reaction.
AnimojiiMessage Animoji / Memoji
Animated animal / character overlays on iMessage that mirror your facial expressions. Used heavily in 2018-2020 for short reaction videos that crossed into TikTok.
:pepehands:Discord :pepehands:
A crying Pepe the Frog variant — Discord custom emote used to convey empathetic sadness without literal grief. Pairs with the "I feel for you but I cannot help" tone in gaming reactions.
:poggers:Discord :poggers:
The successor to Twitch's PogChamp emote — an open-mouthed "wow, this is amazing" reaction. Spawned after Twitch removed the original PogChamp face-cam in 2021; variants like PogO, PogU, and Poggers carried the meaning forward.
MonkaSTwitch MonkaS
A sweating Pepe variant used to express anxiety or tension — typically deployed during clutch moments in a competitive game, right before a risky play, or when something is about to go very wrong.
:LUL:Twitch :LUL:
A laughing-face Twitch emote that became the canonical "I laughed at this" reaction across Twitch chat and Discord. Shorter and more disposable than :KEKW: — used for lighter laughs; :KEKW: is reserved for absolute howlers.
:Kappa:Twitch :Kappa:
The Twitch default sarcasm emote — a black-and-white 2009 face-cam of Josh DeSena. Appended to any message, it negates sincerity: "I am saying this but I do not mean it."
:Pepega:Discord :Pepega:
A deaf/head-empty Pepe variant — used to flag that someone (often oneself) is missing obvious context. Pairs naturally with reactions to bad takes and oblivious commentary.
copiumTwitter "copium"
A cope-meme term — "copium" is the joke-drug you inhale when you are coping with a loss. Spread from 4chan and Reddit to mainstream Twitter around 2019. The opposite (loss acceptance) is "hopium."
OMEGALULTwitch OMEGALUL
An intensified version of :LUL: — "OMEGA" + "LUL" combined, used for laughs so big they cannot be contained by a single :LUL:. Reads as "this is funnier than :LUL: can express."
Story StickerInstagram Story Sticker
A poll / quiz / emoji-slider / question sticker attached to an Instagram Story. Used to drive interaction on ephemeral 24-hour content; visible only to viewers of that specific story.

How each trigger renders on 7 platforms. “Native” = the bracket code converts to TikTok’s hidden graphic; “Falls back” = the platform shows the closest Unicode emoji; “Literal text” = the bracketed text is shown verbatim. Cells pending re-verification are marked.

Frequently asked
What is :KEKW:?
:KEKW: is a Discord / Twitch emote — a laughing-face reaction image of El Risitas, a Spanish comedian whose 2000s interview went viral in 2020 as a reaction meme. The trigger syntax :KEKW: (with colons, all caps) is how you invoke it inside Discord and Twitch chat. It maps conceptually to TikTok's [joyful] and [laugh] bracket codes.
Can I use Discord triggers on TikTok?
No. TikTok's app only renders TikTok-bracket codes like [cry] and [joyful]. The :ablob:, :KEKW:, and :pepehappy: syntax only works inside Discord and Twitch. However, the conceptual meaning often maps across platforms — :KEKW: (laughing) ≈ [laugh] on TikTok, :pepehappy: (happy) ≈ [happy] on TikTok.
Why does Twitter have different emoji than iPhone?
Twitter (now X) renders emoji using its own Twemoji set, which is the open-source emoji art originally created by Twitter in 2014. iPhone renders Apple's proprietary emoji set. The two systems share the same Unicode codepoints (each emoji has a unique number) but use different image files. The emoji you "see" depends on which app you're using, not which device you own.
