Two hands pressed together to form a heart. The shape comes straight out of K-pop fan signs, where idols pose it for cameras and audiences copy it back. On TikTok it now means "I love this, send love back" — almost reflexive in supportive comments.

Heart Hands migrated from K-pop fan culture to the global platform around 2022, when Unicode 14.0 shipped it. By 2023 it was a default in supportive comment sections across TikTok, Instagram, and Twitter. The reading is always warm, never ironic.
When to use
- Supportive replies on vulnerable or emotional content.
- Group or fandom-coded contexts (K-pop, BTS, BLACKPINK fan accounts).
- Closing a heartfelt caption without writing a paragraph.
When not to use
- Anything where you want the distance of a regular ❤️.

Cultural notes
The original K-pop sign uses the same shape but with the index fingers touching at the tips rather than the palms pressed flat. Unicode chose the palms-together rendering, which is the version you actually see in fan signs across the world.
